RMG Worker Face Social Stigma in their own Community

RMG worker contribute in Garments industry which is most profitable export ditch in Bangladesh. Approximately 56% foreign currency earn from this ditch by exporting Garments goods. It’s irony the main strainer of this industry are a large number of female worker who spend their life in misery. These women has face different kind of problem in their working place, family, own community even they are not secure in working place like frequently sexually harass, by their male supervisor and colleague. Raping a RMG worker is a common phenomenon , forcing authority did not give any punishment to this criminal. As a result any body can game of ducks and drakes with their life. These women usually lives in village. First step of their life problem start when they go outside of village for job. Village people took it scurrilous eye. Parent could not provide her food, educational expenses, or other cost, ultimately she has to go outside of village to survive herself and her family. Villagers view is , a young women should stay at home with her family .When a young women go outside of village for job she break traditional purdha, in working place she has to deal with various person especially man and has a chance to fell in love and get married without parents permission. But the fate is that marriage did not lasting long. Again they get married in their own village by hiding their previous marriage. Even RMG worker are not expected as a bride to bridegroom party in Village . Because RMG worker has to deal with many man in working place, can not maintain purdha, has a chance to hide previous marriage, may be they can involved with sex trade in the disguise of RMG worker, as a bride they are not obedient, over smart , family status is not good .Interesting matter is , in some situation parents arrange RMG worker marriage by hiding their profession. After marriage if the bridegroom party know about her profession it create disturbance conjugal life. Village people even relatives also pinching RMG worker parents that they could not bear their daughter live expense, they survive on their daughter income. It’s really painful RMG worker perform tremendously to rise our economy , their life became hell in alive.

Transmission of HIV & How HIV prevent

AIDS is not contagious disease
HIV transmitted man to man different type of causes :

Having unsafe sex like sex without condom . Suppose that some one did sex act with an unknown partner he/she has chance to get infected in HIV . It is really good before getting married bride & bridegroom do HIV test.
By anal sex HIV transmitted.
Transfusion of blood without testing HIV.
HIV transmitted by using reuse of syringe like the injecting drug user did.

How HIV did not transmitted:

HIV do not transmitted to share same bathroom, bathing in the same pond , eating food in the same plate, sleeping with the same bed, with HIV infected patient
It does not transmit by the bite of mosquito .

How HIV prevent:
Having safe sex like during sex act use condom.
Transfusion blood HIV should test.
Sterilize syringe .
Try to avoid shaving in saloon.

Hotel Sex Trade in Dhaka City

A number of residential hotel in Dhaka city are involved with sex trade .These hotel are situated in different part of Dhaka city like puran Dhaka Moghbazar,Mohakhali,Saydabad .
These hotel almost maintain same rate like per sex act they get 250 taka from client. From 250 taka sex worker took 80 taka per sex act. Police, area mastan, political leader took a huge amount of bribe from hotel authority. For example a hotel give 1,2000 taka police per month as a bribe. Hotel authority exploited sex worker continuously . Some of sex worker are illiterate they do not know how to count .

organization pick peer from sex worker who has motivation power , leadership capacity, convince other to serve their organizational purpose .They distrbuted free condom , lubricant among sex worker and hotel authority .Some of the NGO took price for condom and lubricant but very low cost. Peer educator make conscious sex worker about HIV/AIDS. How HIV spread out man to man?. How they can prevent HIV? Having safe sex with their client ,How they can motivated their client to use condom during sex act? .Not only HIV/AIDS but also they giving information about STI .Organization has drop in center in different part of Dhaka city where peer educator bring sex worker for treatment of STI.

HIV/AIDS prevention among Hotel-based sex worker in Dhaka City, Bangladesh

HIV/AIDS prevention is a burning issue health sector in Bangladesh. Bangladesh still now low prevalence country of HIV/AIDS. So we should have to take contemporary step to prevent HIV/AIDS. Different type NGO working to prevent HIV in country .Marginal community are the risk group to spread out HIV like Sex worker, IDU, Hijra sex worker .NGO are working with this community to prevent HIV.

From this marginal community one of the community is sex worker. NGO gives them BCC training to prevent HIV through peer education session with different type of game like talking picture, Love story, condom wheel, pictorial game etc…
